privacy policy
Last updated: April 18, 2026
We’re a small shop. This policy tells you, in plain english, what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. If something here is unclear, email us and we’ll explain.
who we are
Project Lazarus is operated by a small team in the United States that helps businesses resurrect abandoned custom software. When this policy says “we” or “us,” that’s us. When it says “you,” that’s whoever is reading our website or has been in touch with us.
what we collect
We collect three things, nothing more:
- what you tell us. If you email us, fill out a form, or chat with the assistant on our site, we keep what you sent — name, email, company, whatever you wrote.
- what the site logs automatically. Your IP address, which pages you looked at, and a timestamp. Standard web-server stuff. We use it to see which parts of the site people care about.
- what the chat assistant sees you doing on the site. Which pages you visited, which catalog items you clicked on, how long you stayed. That context is fed to the assistant so its answers are specific to what you’re actually looking at, instead of generic.
We do not buy personal data from third parties. We do not profile you across other websites.
what we do with it
- Answer your question, send you what you asked for, or follow up on a conversation you started.
- Figure out whether we’re a fit for the problem you described — and tell you honestly if we’re not.
- Improve the site and the sales assistant by reading transcripts and fixing the parts that confused people.
That’s it. We don’t sell your data. We don’t share it with ad networks. We don’t use it to target you.
cookies
We use one thing in your browser: a random session id stored locally so that if you refresh the page your chat thread stays put. It’s not tied to your identity. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
how long we keep it
Chat transcripts and site events: 90 days, then automatically deleted. Emails and leads: as long as we’re still talking, plus two years afterwards so we have context if you come back. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.
who sees it
Us, and the handful of vendors that make the site work:
- Anthropic — runs the AI model behind the chat assistant. Your chat messages pass through them but aren’t retained for training.
- Our hosting provider — stores the files and serves the pages.
- Email and calendar providers — if we follow up with you.
We don’t hand your data to anyone else unless a court makes us, or you’ve asked us to.
your rights
Email us and we’ll do any of these, no questions asked:
- Show you what we have about you.
- Fix anything that’s wrong.
- Delete all of it.
- Stop emailing you.
kids
Our services aren’t for anyone under 18. Don’t give us information about kids.
changes to this policy
If we change anything important, we’ll update the date at the top and — if we’ve already talked to you — drop you a note.
